New Reverse Trike is the Ultimate 3 Wheel Car

In2Go Industries released details about their new reverse trike kit which could prove to be the ultimate DIY 3 wheel car.  While classified as a motorcycle kit, due to the wheel configuration, the KB3 drives much like a car.  It features gas and brake pedals and a steering wheel with modern rack and pinion steering.  What is so shocking about the kit the price.

The advertised cost of the kits start at only $6000 for the builder kit that allows the hardcore garage DIYers to build their own gas or electric kit.  There is also a version that is completely bolt-together and features a full electric drive which can be assembled by people at ANY skill level.  The kit uses American automotive suspension and brake components that can be sourced from salvage yards, but can be bought new for just a bit more.  This is because In2Go has researched and designed the kit to use the most plentiful and affordable car parts on the market.....no German replacement parts required.  This strategy was applied to all the other components like the seats, electronics, and the motor and controller.  All of this allows the 3 wheel car to be fully built for just under $9000.

The electric and complete bolt together version will cost more, due to the lithium battery pack, but it is still the most affordable reverse trike kit on the market. With similar production 3 wheel cars like the Polaris Slingshot costing $20,000-25,000 and the Campagna T-Rex costing $65,000, the easy to assemble KB3 is a very affordable option.  The lithium battery pack can be selected based on the customers wants and needs.  The small battery pack offers up to 70 miles range, while the larger offers up to 200 miles.  Top speed of electric trike is limited to 78 mph, but the gas version is unlimited.

The Ultimate Low Maintenance 3 Wheel Car

The KB3 kit allows people to build their own low maintenance car.  After assembly, there is very little to do to maintain the reverse trike, which makes it the perfect, fun weekend or even daily driver.  The lithium battery packs can be fully charged over 3000 times, which is over 8 years of daily charges.  That's 8 years of zero gasoline, zero oil changes, and zero emissions.  The cost savings in gas will pay for the battery pack alone.  Most people do not commute over 70 miles a day so the small battery pack usually suffices.

Easy to Assemble Reverse Trike Kit

The KB3 claims to be able to be built in less than a day, and with less than 100 bolted connections, including lug nuts, this is very plausible.  Even someone using a torque wrench on every connection could assemble the reverse trike kit within a week.  This can be a very attractive feature to the dads who want to build something cool with their children or even classroom environments.

In2Go pushes people to build their own kit, even though it offers full built trikes.  The mass population of America has become a consume and throw away culture.  The KB3 encourages the "Maker" culture where people build their own products and understand how they work.  This allows them to better diagnose when things do wear out and fix themselves instead of relying on someone else.  It also serves as a lit fuse to a lifetime of DIY and engineering love, because if a person can build their own car, what can't they do?  So @RUin2Go?
